It seems the world has become more complex and simple at the same time. We have a multitude of platforms to retrieve information with the touch of a few keys, the information is right there. No more searching through the dewey decimal system. No more anxiously waiting for the newspaper to be delivered. It is simple, right here, right now at dizzying speeds. And now, with the ease of communication, all these elements have transformed the speed at which we need to engage. Thus, shifting what we need to learn and how we go about gathering that knowledge has transformed irrevocably. Gone are the days of waiting for a written letter reply; information is available at lightening speed on a multitude of instantaneous interactive digital platforms. It is within this context that my doctoral work is written. The framework and structure of communication, information sharing, learning, leading, and human capacity building have become much more accessible yet so much more complex. My hope is that you find information here that will ease the burden of overwhelm, help add constructively to the conversation, and even potentially open new doors.
